The latest edition of the 10-year-old cask strength from Laphroaig is Batch 15, bottled at 56.5% abv – the authentic way to experience the rugged nature of this Islay dram. Matured in charred ex-bourbon barrels you can expect aromas of sweet tobacco, oatcakes and nutmeg spice, which lead to Chantilly cream, a leathery woodiness, marshmallow, salted caramel, pepper, cinnamon, and espresso.
